Why this matters
If you click a link in a test email and it no longer works, this is expected behavior, not a bug.
Links in test emails are automatically disabled after 15 minutes. This protects your account while a campaign is still a draft.
How to keep your links working longer
To benefit from a longer validity period, two conditions must be met:
- Your sending domain is authenticated (see Authenticating your domain).
- Your tracking links are validated (see Tracking and bounce domains).
Authentication lets our system confirm that you are the rightful owner of the domain you're sending from.
Alternatives
- Send to a "test" list. Create a list (for example, "Test") with your own addresses and send your campaign to it directly. Links in sent campaigns are not disabled, so they'll keep working.
- Share a permanent web version. To share a campaign on social media or your website, use the
[showemail]function in your campaign. It generates a permanent link to the web version of your email.
