Why this matters
Before your emails can reliably reach the inbox, a few things need to be in place. Doing them in the right order saves you time, protects your deliverability, and helps you meet the requirements that inbox providers like Gmail and Yahoo now enforce.
This page is your starting point. Follow the steps below in order.
What you'll set up
- A sender (the "From" name and address recipients see).
- Domain authentication (so providers trust your emails).
- Tracking and bounce alignment (recommended, for branded links and clean bounce handling).
Your setup checklist
- Add and verify your sender. Use an address on a domain you control. See Adding a sender.
- Authenticate your sending domain. Add the DKIM record we generate, and make sure you have a DMARC record. See Authenticating your domain.
- Align your tracking and bounce domains. Strongly recommended, and required for your test email links to keep working. See Tracking and bounce domains.
- Not sure where to paste DNS records? See Adding DNS records at your hosting provider.
Where this lives in the app
Everything is in the left menu under Settings: your senders in Settings ▸ Senders, and your domains in Settings ▸ Domains.
