# My Test Email Links Are Not Working

## Why this matters

If you click a link in a **test email** and it no longer works, this is expected behavior, not a bug.

**Links in test emails are automatically disabled after 15 minutes.** This protects your account while a campaign is still a draft.

## How to keep your links working longer

To benefit from a longer validity period, two conditions must be met:

- Your **sending domain is authenticated** (see [Authenticating your domain](/en/docs/senders/authenticating-domains)).
- Your **tracking links are validated** (see [Tracking and bounce domains](/en/docs/senders/tracking-and-bounce-domains)).

Authentication lets our system confirm that you are the rightful owner of the domain you're sending from.

## Alternatives

- **Send to a "test" list.** Create a list (for example, "Test") with your own addresses and send your campaign to it directly. **Links in sent campaigns are not disabled**, so they'll keep working.
- **Share a permanent web version.** To share a campaign on social media or your website, use the `[showemail]` function in your campaign. It generates a permanent link to the web version of your email.
